Torque limiters of the “backlash-free” series are safety devices which protect mechanical components that are subject to repeated and different kinds of overload but where it is recommended to maintain a fixed and determined point of transmission.

OPERATION
- Any overload in the kinematics, caused by exceeding the pre-established torque value, causes the device to disengage, separating the driving part from the driven part.
- The torque is transmitted from the hub to the pressure flange via the rollers (A) housed in special "copied" seats.
- The rollers are pushed by the moving part, transmitting torque without backlash, in both directions of rotation.
- When the operating torque is exceeded, the rollers come out of their respective seats, generating the movement of the mobile body and the consequent stop of the transmission, intercepted by an electric microswitch which will also determine the (signalled) stop of the driving part.
APPLICATIONS
- The great precision of the "backlash-free" torque limiters determines their use in all those mechanical transmissions, where the disengagement of the drive must absolutely not cause movements of the fixed points of the movement: step, step systems - automatic machines, machine tools - etc.
- The various versions of the "backlash-free" limiter: mechanical-pneumatic - with lamellar joint - for indexers , allow applications for every specific need.
